I have been told “NOT” to drink red wine by my ENT doc. Because if you have migraines or any other types of head ach regularly, red wine can make them worse. Now I do like an occasional margarita and for that reason I found out that the next day I would have a great bowl movement. For me this was a great find, I have IBS with constipation. So I went and bought some tequila & made this recipe.>>>

1)	One Tbl. Spoon of tequila (your choice)
2)	¼ cup of margarita mixer (your choice)
3)	¼ cup of pink lemon aid
4)	2 sweetener packets for taste

In a glass, put the Tbl. spoon of tequila, add the ¼ mixer, add the ¼ pink lemon aid & sweeteners. Stir and then add ice. Now if it is too strong, you can add more mixer or pink lemon aid.

I do not recommend drinking every day, “ONLY” when your bowl movements are slowing down…no more than once a week. This drink keeps my bowls moving really well for two-four days. I also recommend that you stay on a high fiber diet, no red meats. They are hard to diejest and can cause constipation. Tender chicken & fish is the best choice along with plenty of fruits & veggies.

My wife has IBS, bad IBS, and she has found out from extensive testing something that has brought her life changing results.

1. She takes 4 Alli tablets per day, 2 morning, 2 at night. (Yes this is a weight loss sumplement, but what ever is in it works miraculously. Check it out.)

2. She takes 4 Digestive Advantage, Gas Formula pills, 2 morning 2 at night, with the Alli. (DA makes an IBS formula, but she didn't have much success with that, so she tried the Gas Formula and it works like a charm.)

3. Now here's the clincher, when she takes the 2 things above it helps dramatically, but not all the way. The third step is that she drinks a few shots of Margaritaville Gold Tequila. She mixes it only with Orange juice as margarita mix bothers her stomache.

She has tried red wine and a glass or two doesn't bother her but it doesn't help her either. It's interesting that she gets no buzz from drinking the tequila, although she slow sips it over a couple of hours, but we have found that if she stops drinking the tequila her stomache starts hurting. If she runs out of Alli or Gas pills she will start cramping up almost to the point of taking her to the emergency room, which she did every other week or so for a long time.

Those are her results, and maybe they would help you or not. But I thought I would share it.

I should have added that Cabernet seems to be the best choice for most beneficial results.

I am having the same good response to red wine on a consistent basis. Previously I drank some red wine on some days, irregularly at best. Recently I have had a program of regular consumption of two glassed per day, every day. My IBS seems much less troubling, to the point of wondering if I still have it. What I see on other sites is that red wine causes IBS, but perhaps that is the case before one's system is adjusted or has time to react. My sense of this is that endothelial cells line the intestinal walls, just as they do the arteries, and red wine has a beneficial effect on those arterial cells. Who knows? But it is better, not worse.

I haven't tried tequila but am finding 1/2 to 3/4 cup red wine very helpful. I had a heart attack while on medication (the drug has since been taken off the market) for my IBS and nurses in cardiac rehab encouraged me to have red wine daily for my heart. Coincidentally this also stabalized my IBS. Does that make sense to anyone else out there?
