I suffer from IBS

Hi. My name is Ken and I started this site because I was diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome or IBS in October 2005.

It seemed funny cause I used to poke fun at this girl I knew who had told me before about IBS. She was a very cute girl and very feminine and girly like but she would have to go to the bathroom often and sometimes would let out a little fart every now and then.

People with a functional GI disorder have frequent symptoms, but the GI tract does not become damaged. IBS is not a disease; it is a group of symptoms that occur together.

IBS is diagnosed when a person has abdominal pain or discomfort at least three times per month for the last 3 months without other disease or injury that could explain the pain.
